Our Experienced Instructors
Jody Hendryx P.T., R.M.T., is
a physical therapist, Advanced MFR Therapist and senior instructor
of the John Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach. Jody has an exclusive
MFR practice and has been studying with Mr. Barnes for over 15 years.
Kathleen Juhl, PhD. has
been studying the Alexander Technique since 1990. She received her
teacher certification through Alexander Technique International
in 1999 and began her training in order to enhance her work teaching
voice, movement, and acting for theatre and music students at Southwestern
University in Georgetown. “Juhl” (her preferred nickname) is also
a registered massage therapist, practices craniosacral therapy and
has been teaching at Southwestern University for sixteen years as
Associate Professor of Theatre and Chair of the Feminist Studies
Program.
Behice Kutay, RMT, MTI, travels
world-wide teaching Lymph Drainage and Craniosacral Therapy courses
for The Upledger Institute.
Peggy Lamb, MA, RMT, MTI, NCTMB has
been practicing massage since 1986 and is Nationally Certified.
Peggy taught Clinical Anatomy and Physiology, Trigger Point Therapy
and Swedish Technique at Wellness Skills, Inc. in Dallas and is
now on the faculty of Texas Healing Arts Institute in Austin. In
addition to her extensive training in massage therapy, Peggy holds
a Masters Degree in Dance from American University in Washington,
D.C. She is the author of Stretch Your Clients: The Bodyworker's
Guide to Client Table Stretches and Releasing the Rotator Cuff.
Lauren Robins, RMT, MS, with
20 years of yoga and dance/movement experience, offers breath and
movement seminars. She is the owner of ZAZ Studio, a movement and
yoga studio, in Wimberley, TX. Her book, The Palette of Breath:
Facts About Breathing, is being used by educators, therapists, families
and individuals as a rich resource that offers poignant information
about breathing.
Bill Scholl, MTI, studied
with Milton Trager beginning in 1981. He has been teaching the Trager®
Approach for seventeen years. Bill has been a camp counselor, historian,
elementary school teacher, businessman and farmer. His approach
to teaching creates a space that is engaging, safe, and playful.
He lives in Austin, Texas.
William Eric Webb, B.A., RMT is
the owner of Austin BodyWorks Therapy Center and Director of Myofascial
Release services. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin
and Austin School of Massage Therapy, Eric is a Registered Massage
Therapist and an Advanced Myofascial Release Therapist. Eric has
studied Myofascial Release under John Barnes, PT since 1998 and
has extensive experience in treating and designing home exercise
programs for clients with fibromyalgia, cervical/lumbar injuries,
migraines, chronic pain, sciatica, TMJ Dysfunction and carpal tunnel
syndrome.
